Ardnahoe – Bholsa

Ardnahoe Bholsa is a peated Islay single malt, named after the Bholsa caves close to the Ardnahoe distillery. Oloroso sherry casks played a part in its maturation and bring rich notes of peat-smoked raisins. The nose combines smoky peat, raisins and the sweetness of Oloroso, with orange zest and walnuts. On the palate come ripe plums and dates, balanced by the warmth of Islay peat. The finish is long and peppery, with a lingering sherried character.
