A five-year-old Islay single malt from Ardnahoe and the distillery's first cask-strength release, bottled at 60.9% in a 70cl bottle.
It was matured in ex-bourbon and ex-sherry casks and is bottled without chill-filtration or added colour. The spirit is lightly peated, at 40 ppm, and was made using two worm tubs.
Shortbread, baked apple and Islay peat smoke lead on the nose. The palate offers vanilla custard, ginger and lemon zest with a creamy texture, and the finish is long and smoky, with caramel, spice and a gentle sweetness.
