Ardnahoe The Inaugural Release is a five-year-old Islay single malt from Ardnahoe Distillery, bottled in 2024 at 50% in a 70cl bottle. It is not chill-filtered and has no added colour.
The whisky matured in a combination of ex-bourbon and ex-Oloroso sherry casks. The distillery was conceived by Jim McEwan and has two worm tubs and unusually long lyne arms, and 50% is the strength Ardnahoe prefers.
It is described as fruity and peaty, with the characteristic Islay traits.
