An Extra Añejo tequila made by brothers Eduardo and Jaime Orendain at El Llano distillery in the town of Tequila. The agave is hand-selected, ferments naturally in stone tanks and is double distilled in small batches. It rests for 48 months in first-fill ex-bourbon American oak barrels, and each barrel is bottled separately. Only twenty barrels are produced each year.
Tasting Notes
Agave, vegetal bell pepper and jalapeño, sweet tropical fruits and subtle wood spice; also dark chocolate, caramel, dried fruits, vanilla and toasted oak
Viscosity with malty sweetness, salted caramel, cedar wood, bright citrus and spicy pepper; also vanilla, toasted oak, spice, leather and nuttiness
Exceptionally long and smooth, with warm, velvety oak and vanilla; slightly thick, bright and spicy
