The tenth release from Cut Your Wolf Loose, the Brighton whisky bar and independent bottler, this is a 10 year old Arran distilled in 2014 and bottled in 2024 at 58.9% ABV. It comes from a single ex-American whisky cask, which gave 119 bottles, and the label artwork is by Thumbs.
The Arran distillery at Lochranza began running again in 1995, after the last legal distillery on the island had closed in 1835.
The nose is marzipan and vanilla caramel with plenty of oak. The palate is round and creamy, with marzipan, custard and apple pie, and the finish is of medium length, recalling an apple ice lolly.
