Arran 11 Years Old Barrel Bonfire is the second release in the Signature Series from the Arran distillery on the Isle of Arran. It is a peated single malt, with a peat content of 42 PPM, bottled in 2024 at 50% in a 70cl bottle.
The whisky matured in bourbon barrels and 115-litre quarter casks. It has no added colouring and is non-chill-filtered. The bottle carries the signature of the Lochranza distillery manager, and 14,822 bottles were released.
The nose offers ripe apples, citrus, honey and vanilla, with wood smoke and warm spices. The palate is full, with caramelised sugar, toasted oak, ripe fruit and smoke. The finish is long and warming, with sweet malt, spice and lingering peat.
