Arran 14 Year Old is a Scottish single malt bottled at 46%. It has spent 14 years maturing in a combination of bourbon and PX sherry casks.
The fruit stays clear throughout, joined by vanilla and oak from the casks and by warming spice. The mouthfeel is soft and full.
On the nose there are ripe apples, juicy pears and fresh citrus, followed by honey, vanilla and toasted almonds. The palate shows caramel, malt and dark chocolate with dried fruit, light pepper and fine tannins. The finish is long and warm, with oak, spice and a discreet sweetness.
