This is Arran 17 Years Old, a single malt bottled at 46% ABV in a 70cl bottle.
The distillery stands on the Isle of Arran, between Scotland's west coast and the Kintyre peninsula. It began production in 1995, later than planned, because a pair of golden eagles was nesting on the site chosen for it. Harold Currie built it after a long career in the whisky industry, in which he had risen to director at Chivas.
