An 18 year old single malt from the Isle of Arran Distillers, bottled at 46% ABV. It was matured in first fill and second fill hogsheads and bourbon barrels, then finished in first fill Oloroso sherry casks. The distillery bottles without chill filtration and adds no colour.
The nose is sweet dried fruit with syrup and toasted oak, vanilla, cinnamon and other spices. The palate is sweet, with chocolate, ginger, burnt dark brown sugar and dark dried fruit. A drop of water brings out oranges and floral notes. The finish is long, with plenty of citrus fruit alongside dark chocolate.
