A single cask Arran from the New Vibrations series, distilled at Lochranza in 1995 and matured for 27 years in a sherry hogshead. One of 293 bottles, it is bottled at 49.8% ABV in a 70cl bottle.
The nose is powdery and full, with honeyed acacia, saffron, grapefruit, peach and broom, then wax and rice pudding as it opens. The palate is rich and complex, with gentian, vanilla flan, ginger, cinnamon, pineapple and banana. The finish is long, with cloves and nutmeg, then malt turning to vanilla, salt and menthol.
