Arran 2001 Premium Cask – The Nectar – 22 Years Old (70cl, 54.7%)

This is a single cask Arran, distilled on 28 May 2001 and bottled on 3 August 2023 at 22 years old. It comes from the distillery on the Scottish island of Arran and belongs to the Premium Cask series, selected for the Belgian importer The Nectar. The whisky matured in an ex-bourbon cask, number 2001/009, which yielded 125 bottles. It is bottled at a cask strength of 54.7%, with natural colour and without chill filtration. The nose is described as creamy vanilla, honey, pineapple and grapefruit with a little matured oak. The palate is full and silky, with tropical fruit, vanilla and light spice. The finish is warming, with citrus, soft oak and spice.
