This is a 13 year old Arran from a single hogshead, Private Cask 2009/942, selected for The Nectar. It was distilled in 2009 and bottled at cask strength, 56.7%, with 298 bottles released.
The nose is honeycomb, warm apple pie, soft spices, apricot and a touch of almond skin. The palate is creamy and full, with toffee, citrus oil, peach, roasted nuts and wood spices. The finish is long and warming, with spice and sweet malt leading to a dry end.
