This is a 25 year old single malt from the Arran distillery, matured in a mix of ex-bourbon and ex-sherry casks.
It is the oldest official release from the distillery, which was founded in 1995, and it is planned as an annual bottling in a limited run.
The nose is rich with oak and a soft touch of nutmeg, alongside baked figs, sultanas and black cherries. On the palate come fruit cake with toasted almonds and cinnamon, orange and mandarin zest, manuka honey and muscovado sugar. The finish is creamy and gently spiced, with dark chocolate, walnuts and dark fruit compote.
