Arran – 25 Year Old Single Malt

Arran 25 Year Old is a single malt from the distillery on the island of the same name, launched in 2020 to mark the 25th year of Arran's production. It was aged in a combination of 35% ex-sherry and 65% ex-bourbon casks, then given a further 12 months in first-fill and refill sherry hogsheads before bottling. Around 3,000 bottles are released each year. The nose has rich oak with gentle nutmeg, baked figs, sultanas and black cherries. The palate brings fruit cake, toasted almonds, cinnamon, orange and mandarin zest, manuka honey, muscovado sugar, baked apricots and white pepper. The finish is creamy and spicy, with dark chocolate, walnuts and dark fruit compote.
