Arran Amarone Cask Finish is a single malt from the Arran distillery on the Isle of Arran, finished in Amarone wine casks from Italy. The casks give the whisky its copper colour. It is bottled at 50% in a 70cl bottle and comes in a tube.
The nose is fresh and fruity, with a touch of pear and soft ripe fruit. The palate is full and creamy, with chocolate, wood and light spice, and the wine casks add warmth and a subtle fruity sweetness. The finish is round and warming, with chocolate, wood and soft spice.
