Arran – Duero Discovery (70cl, 50%)

Arran Duero Discovery is a 12 year old single malt from the Isle of Arran, the third bottling in the distillery's Signature Series. It is unpeated, bottled at 50% in a 70cl bottle, and released as a limited edition. The whisky spent six years in ex-bourbon casks and a further six in first fill red wine casks from Spain's Duero region. The nose is bright, with red and caramelised fruit, hazelnuts, salted caramel and grapefruit zest. The palate is full, with red and black fruit, oak, vanilla, ginger, sweet spices and aniseed. The finish is sweet, with nuts and ripe figs.
