Arran Quarter Cask is a single malt, here in the distillery's new design. It matured for seven years in first-fill ex-bourbon barrels, then spent two more years in 125-litre quarter cask barrels. The nose opens with Arran's citrus tones, followed by strong oak, warming cinnamon and rich vanilla sweetness. The palate is full-bodied with good wood notes. It is gently sweet, with honey, pineapple, coconut and more vanilla, and a warming, peppery spice rounds it off.
