This is a 21 year old whisky from Arran Distillery, released as the 2001 Robert Burns bottling. The nose combines fresh fruit sweetness with toasted nuts and crystallised ginger coated in dark chocolate. On the palate there is dark chocolate-dipped almond, candied orange, nutmeg and more warming ginger. The finish brings apricot jam, bitter orange marmalade, chocolate meringue and allspice.
