Arran – Sauternes Finish

This is an Arran single malt that spent about 8 years in ex-bourbon casks before a finish in selected Sauternes casks from Bordeaux. The nose is rich in honey, with fresh citrus zest behind it. The palate is honeyed too, with zesty citrus that gradually gives way to some spice and a hint of salt, followed by vanilla, raisins and toasted oak. The finish is gently sweet, with honey, apricot and melon.
