Arran – Sherry Cask The Bodega (55.8%)

Arran The Bodega is an unpeated single malt matured for around seven years in first-fill ex-sherry casks. It arrived in 2019, among the new releases that came with the distillery's redesign of its range. It is bottled at full strength, 55.8%, at its natural colour and without chill filtration. In the glass it is amber. The nose combines chocolate, orange and raisins with hints of dried figs and toasted oak. The palate is lively, with cherries, chocolate, brown sugar and raisins, and a touch of caramel. The finish is of medium length, with cinnamon, pepper, toasted nuts and caramel at the close.
