Arran – Sherry Cask The Bodega (70cl, 55.8%)

Arran Sherry Cask The Bodega is a single malt from the Arran distillery on the Scottish island of Arran, bottled at a cask strength of 55.8% in a 70cl bottle. It is matured entirely in ex-sherry casks. For this expression Arran's master distiller works with sherry bodegas in Jerez de la Frontera in southern Spain, and the casks are chosen to build a rich, layered character. The nose offers raisins, ripe cherries and figs with dark chocolate and warm spice. On the palate, dried fruit, cherries and figs meet a bittersweet touch of dark chocolate, with spice and oak. The finish is long and warm, with raisins, chocolate, spice and oak.
