Arran – Signature Series 2 Barrel Bonfire

Barrel Bonfire comes from Arran's Signature Series 2, a four-part limited-edition run of single malts chosen by Stewart Bowman, the distillery manager at Lochranza. It shows the more heavily peated side of Arran, with a peat level of 42ppm. The spirit was first filled into Bourbon barrels in 2012 and matured there for nearly five and a half years. In September 2018 it moved into 115 litre quarter casks sourced from Koval, a small Chicago distillery that matures its Bourbon in them, and spent the remaining five and a half years there. It is non-chill filtered and has no artificial colour.
