Arran – Signature Series Edition 3 Duero Discovery (70cl, 50%)

Arran Signature Series Edition 3, called Duero Discovery, is an unpeated 12 year old single malt from Lochranza Distillery on the Isle of Arran, bottled at 50%. It spent six years in a bourbon barrel and a further six in first-fill Spanish red wine casks. Distillery Manager Stewart Bowman selected and signed it, and the release is 15,049 bottles worldwide. The nose has caramelised fruits, toasted hazelnuts, salted caramel and grapefruit rind. The palate is full-bodied with dark red berries, vanilla, ginger, sweet spices and a hint of aniseed. The finish is long, with ripe figs, toasted oak and lingering sweetness.
