Arran – The Amarone Cask Finish (70cl, 50%)

Arran The Amarone Cask Finish is an unpeated single malt whisky from the Isle of Arran, bottled at 50% ABV in a 70cl bottle. The whisky was finished in casks that came from a small producer of Amarone, the Italian red wine. Master blender James MacTaggart oversaw this second maturation, aiming to keep a balance between the influence of the casks and Arran's soft, fruity character. It is non-chill-filtered and has no added colouring. It is described as rich and fruity, with notes of cherry, cranberry and dark chocolate.
