Auchentoshan 12 Year Old is a Lowland single malt from Scotland, triple distilled and matured for more than twelve years. It comes in a 75cl bottle.
The whisky is aged mainly in bourbon casks, with a smaller share from oloroso sherry casks. It has a golden honey colour.
The nose is of crème brûlée, citrus, toasted almonds and caramelised toffee, with a nutty, green edge. The palate is smooth and sweet, with tangerine and lime, and the finish is gingery and slightly dry, with a lingering nuttiness.
