This is an 11 year old Auchentoshan bottled by WM Cadenhead, matured entirely in Bourbon casks.
The Bourbon maturation gives it a sweet, fruity character from the first sip, and it is described as chewy and distinctly tropical.
On the nose there are apple sours, peaches and cream, apricots and soft mint. The palate brings butterscotch, cream cheese frosting and summer fruits, and the finish runs to toffee, chewy meringue and a tropical note.
