This is a 10 year old Auchroisk single malt from Speyside, bottled by Gordon & MacPhail at 46% ABV as part of its Discovery range. It was matured in bourbon casks.
The nose opens with vanilla, then apple and poached pear, toasted almonds, pineapple and hints of lemon blossom. On the palate, sweet, creamy honey combines with ripe banana and zesty orange, then apricot, balanced by cracked black pepper. The finish is medium-bodied, with lingering tropical fruit and oak.
