A 26 year old single cask Auchroisk from the First Cask series, distilled in 1979 and bottled in 2005 at 46% in a 70cl bottle. It is described as muskier than a typical Auchroisk.
Auchroisk is a Speyside distillery, built in 1972 and commissioned by IDV, then the parent company of J&B. Its spirit is shaped by rapid mashing and fermentation, with a slightly singed character that gives way to a honeyed cereal sweetness with maturation.
