Baker's is a Kentucky straight bourbon, bottled from a single barrel at barrel strength, 53.5% ABV (107 proof), in a 750ml bottle. It is named after Baker Beam, grand nephew of Jim Beam. This bourbon was aged for 7 years, with the barrel filled in March 2013.
The nose is nutty, with baking spices, caramel and vanilla coming through on a deeper breath. The palate brings slightly burnt caramel and spiced vanilla with green peppercorn and rye spice, plus a trace of sweet syrup. The finish returns to nuttiness with oak and vanilla, ending in warming, dry oak and nut.
