This is a 17-year-old Ballechin, a Highland single malt distilled in 2008 and bottled in 2026 by Signatory Vintage at 57.9% ABV. Only 239 bottles were filled worldwide.
It comes in a black metal tin with orange accents. The beige label has purple lettering and an illustration of the distillery.
The nose is dense with peat, ripe blackberries, dark cherries and a touch of honey. On the palate the sweetness of port meets walnut and charred fruit, and the long finish brings spicy depth, bitter-sweet chocolate and warm oak.
