This is a single cask Speyside single malt from Balmenach, bottled by Best Dram at 12 years old and 55.8% ABV. It was distilled in 2013 and bottled in 2025, in a 70cl bottle.
The whisky matured in a first fill PX sherry barrel, which gives it a clear sherry cask character. It is non-chill-filtered and of natural colour.
The nose brings dark fruit and raisins, then warm spices and sweet oak. On the palate there are ripe fruits, date syrup and vanilla, along with robust spice and a touch of cedar. The finish is long and balanced, carried by sherry spice.
