This is a 40 year old single cask single malt from Balmenach, a Speyside distillery. It was distilled in 1979 and released by Hunter Laing as part of their Old & Rare range, in a 70cl bottle at 45.4% ABV. The whisky takes the distillery's classic Speyside character and builds on it after its long maturation, giving a rich and fruity malt. It is described as layering rich winter fruit with peppery spice and fresh citrus.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
