This is a single cask Balmenach, distilled in 2013 and bottled in 2023 by Thompson Bros at 48.5% ABV, in a 70cl bottle.
It spent its ten years in three different sherry casks: six years in an ex-sherry hogshead, two years in ex-oloroso octaves, and the remainder in an ex-sherry butt. The result is a rich but restrained fruity character.
The nose offers cocoa powder, pecan pie, plums and caramelised ginger.
