A Barolo DOCG from Ciabot Berton, made from Nebbiolo grown in the Langhe. It comes from old vines on calcareous-clay soils and was aged in oak barrels.
The wine shows aromas of faded rose, ripe cherry, tobacco and sweet spices, with smooth, silky tannins. On the palate it is enveloping, with well-integrated tannins and surprising freshness for its age.
It suits robust dishes such as braised meats, game and aged cheeses.
