Barrell 12 Year Old is a bourbon blended from 12 to 15-year-old barrels, then finished in slow-toasted American oak casks. It is bottled at 113.4 proof (56.7% ABV) in a 75cl bottle.
The toasted oak finish adds a creamy, coconut-like sweetness to the nose, alongside cinnamon roll, Almond Joy and maple syrup, with licorice root, baking spices, cherry and lemon zest.
The palate is dark and woody, with blonde tobacco, Earl Grey tea, campfire ash and crystallised ginger, lifted by cucumber and lychee. The finish brings lychee and matcha, then almond milk, coconut flakes and a little chocolate liqueur.
