Barrell Bourbon Batch 036 is a cask strength blend of straight bourbons from Barrell Craft Spirits, a Louisville company founded in 2013 that blends and bottles whiskey it sources rather than distils itself. It is bottled uncut at 57.22% (114.44 proof).
The blend draws on bourbons from Indiana (7.5, 8 and 10 years), Kentucky (9 years) and Tennessee (8 and 15 years), with a derived mash bill of 79% corn, 16% rye and 5% malted barley. Released in 2024, it was the first batch to carry the redesigned label.
The nose is honey, fresh citrus, cherry jam, vanilla and snickerdoodle. The palate offers caramel, chocolate, pecan pie, orange zest, cherry cordial, pepper, cardamom and cinnamon, with a long, warming finish.
