Barrell Bourbon Batch 036

Barrell Bourbon Batch 036 is a multi-mashbill bourbon blend from Barrell Craft Spirits, put together from barrels distilled in Indiana, Tennessee and Kentucky. The components range in age: Indiana at 7.5, 8 and 10 years, Tennessee at 8 and 15 years, and Kentucky at 9 years. Full-bodied barrels with black cherry notes were combined with oak-forward, nutty barrels. Younger barrels with stone fruit and pepper were then added, followed by older barrels with milk chocolate, cinnamon and pecan. The derived mash bill is 79% corn, 16% rye and 5% malted barley. The finish is described as opulent.
