Barrell Bourbon Batch 037 Cask Strength (75cl, 55.7%)

Barrell Bourbon Batch 037 is a cask strength bourbon at 55.69% ABV (111.38 proof), in a 750ml bottle. It is a multi-mash-bill blend with a derived mash bill of 78% corn, 18% rye and 4% malted barley. The blend combines barrels from three states: Indiana at 8, 11 and 12 years old, Kentucky at 10 years old, and Tennessee at 13, 14 and 15 years old. The nose has sour Granny Smith, salted caramel and peach sun tea, with honey, cardamom and toffee. The palate opens with Curacao orange liqueur and candied ginger, then moves to spiced orange, pine needles, banana and dark chocolate. The finish is warming and lingering, with spiced pineapple upside-down cake, cocoa and orange zest.
