A cask-strength bourbon finished in Armagnac casks, bottled in Kentucky at 56.5% (113 proof). It is a blend of bourbons from Kentucky, Indiana and Tennessee, aged between 7 and 15 years, with a derived mash bill of 78% corn, 18% rye and 4% malted barley.
The blending team chose barrels to sit alongside the dried fruit, burnt sugar, clove and tobacco character the Armagnac casks add.
The nose shows pineapple, cola, caraway, pumpernickel and dried fruits. The palate is syrupy and spicy, with orange, hazelnut, black walnut, tobacco and chocolate. The finish carries clove, oolong tea, dried plum, pecan pie and custard.
