Barrell Craft Spirits Batch 036 Bourbon (70cl, 57.2%)

Barrell Craft Spirits Batch 036 is a blended straight bourbon bottled at cask strength, 57.22% ABV, in a 70cl bottle. It brings together whiskeys distilled and aged in Tennessee, Kentucky and Indiana, drawn from American white oak barrels. The mash bill works out at 78% corn, 18% rye and 4% malted barley. The blend was built in stages. Six and seven-year-old, high-rye, high-proof barrels with an earthy, spicy, oak-forward character were joined with softer, lower-proof eight-year-old barrels that add dark cherry and butterscotch. After two months of marrying, 13-year-old barrels were layered in, some showing tropical fruit and others dried and candied fruit.
