This is a 13 year old cask strength bourbon from Barrell Craft Spirits, Release 6, in a 750ml bottle. It is a limited release drawn from hand-selected barrels, aged for a minimum of 13 years in American oak and bottled uncut and unfiltered.
The nose offers dark caramel, molasses and toasted oak, with dried fruit, tobacco, cinnamon and charred marshmallow. The palate runs from buttery toffee and burnt sugar to clove, nutmeg, dark chocolate, espresso and ripe cherries. The long, warming finish has oak, dark cocoa, a hint of smoke and peppery spice.
