Gold Label is a bourbon from Barrell Craft Spirits, blended from straight bourbons of 16 and 17 years old. It is bottled at 56.77% ABV in a 750ml bottle.
The barrels came from four collections: cherry-toned barrels with a rich mouthfeel, nutty and oak-forward barrels, high-proof and highly complex barrels, and barrels with pronounced milk chocolate notes. That last group had a secondary maturation in toasted virgin American oak casks before blending.
The character is fruity, with stewed and dried fruits, and a soft, gentle profile despite the high strength.
