Barrell Foundation Double Barrel 5 Year is a blend of straight bourbon whiskeys, aged for five years and bottled at 50% ABV (100 proof) in a 750ml bottle.
The blend is given a secondary barrel treatment, which adds oak depth and a richer, rounder character.
The nose offers caramel, vanilla, toasted oak and warm baking spice. On the palate come toffee, brown sugar, vanilla cream, sweet oak and gentle spice. The finish is long and warming, with lingering caramel sweetness.
