Barsol Puro Quebranta is a Peruvian pisco made entirely from Quebranta grapes grown in the Ica Valley and produced at Bodega San Isidro. It comes in a 75cl bottle at 41.3% ABV.
Quebranta is a non-aromatic grape, and here it is distilled once in traditional copper alembic pot stills and brought off at bottle proof, with no water added. The pisco then rests for at least a year in inert vessels, so it sees no wood.
On the nose there are pear, red apple, fresh-cut grass, dried fruit, pastry, cream, cacao and citrus. The palate shows ripe pear, red apple and red grape with citrus, roasted almond, walnut, pecan and dark chocolate, and it finishes round, elegant and long.
