Barton 1792 Aged 12 Years Bourbon Whiskey (75cl, 48.3%)

This is a 12-year-old Kentucky straight bourbon from Barton 1792 Distillery in Bardstown, bottled at 48.3% ABV in a 75cl bottle. It is the distillery's age-stated bottling, made from the same high-rye mash bill as its Small Batch bourbon and aged in Warehouse Z. It is released once a year in the summer under Master Distiller Danny Kahn. The 1792 name refers to the year Kentucky became a state, and this bottling has won Gold at the 2022 International Wine & Spirit Competition. Official notes describe rich vanilla and cocoa, a full body, delicate fruit and a creamy palate with pleasant spice, ending in a lingering, smoky oak finish.
