Basil Hayden – 10 Year Old Bourbon (75cl, 40%)

Basil Hayden 10 Year Old is a high-rye bourbon bottled at 40% ABV in a 75cl bottle. It uses the same recipe as the standard Basil Hayden but spends longer in barrel. The ten years were spent in newly charred American oak, which develops sweet caramel and vanilla notes alongside the spice of the high-rye mashbill. The nose has big oak aromas with hints of char and vanilla. On the palate, caramel sweetness and wood flavours sit with the house spice, including a touch of black pepper.
