Basil Hayden's – Dark Rye (75cl)

Basil Hayden's Dark Rye is a Kentucky rye whiskey in a 750ml bottle, built in three layers. Kentucky rye forms the base, bringing spice, oak, dried fruit and subtle molasses. Canadian rye from Alberta Distillery is added next, and a touch of California Port provides the final layer of ripe fruit. It is made to work on the rocks or in a cocktail. The colour is a deep amber with ruby undertones. The nose is oaky, with dark berries and molasses. On the palate come caramel and dried fruit, with spice in the background and a rounded mouthfeel. The finish keeps the dried fruit, with a hint of sweetness and rye spice.
