Basil Hayden's is a Kentucky straight bourbon bottled at 40% in a 750ml bottle. It is a small batch, high-rye bourbon, with the sweetness of corn set against the spicy undertones of rye.
The recipe goes back to Basil Hayden Sr., who moved from Maryland to Kentucky late in the 18th century and, as the story goes, made a batch from the ingredients he had to hand. The Noe family pays tribute to that first recipe today.
It is light and easy to sip, with a clean finish.
