Basil Hayden's is a small batch Kentucky straight bourbon, in a 75cl bottle at 40% ABV.
In 1796, Master Distiller Basil Hayden Sr. mixed small grains into the mash of a traditional corn-based bourbon, expecting the spicy flavour of rye to complement the sweetness of corn.
It is described with hints of peppermint, notes of pepper and slight citrus, and a spicy, warming finish.
