Beara Single Grain Irish Whiskey (70cl, 41%)

Beara Single Grain is an Irish whiskey distilled from maize and malted barley by the Great Northern Distillery and bottled by Beara Distillery, in a 70cl bottle at 41% ABV. It matured entirely in a 200-litre virgin oak cask, which gave it an intense colour and pronounced vanilla and fruit character. Its final maturation took place on the remote Beara peninsula. It is non-chill-filtered and has no added colouring. The nose is roasted wood, vanilla and subtle fruit. On the palate come sweet vanilla, fine wood, fruit and a little pepper, leading to a finish of medium length with lingering sweetness.
